Who we are

Kaizen is an app developed and made available by VertexHub do Brasil Ltda, a company registered in Brazil under CNPJ 68.119.875/0001-40, headquartered at Avenida Engenheiro Luiz Carlos Berrini, 1748, Cidade Monções, São Paulo, SP, CEP 04571-000, Brazil ("we," "us"). "Kaizen" and "VertexHub" are a brand and product operated by this entity, which is the data controller for purposes of Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and, where applicable, the GDPR.

The principle: your data never leaves your device

Kaizen is built to run entirely on your device. We do not collect, receive, store, or have access to your personal data or your gameplay data. This is why Kaizen's App Store listing shows the "Data Not Collected" label.

Specifically:

  • Gameplay, progress, and learning model (your per-technique ratings, game history, statistics) are generated and stay only on your device, in local storage. They are never transmitted to us.
  • Tutor and coach AI features run on Apple's on-device language model (Apple Foundation Models). Your questions and the explanations you receive never leave your device and never pass through any server — ours or anyone else's.
  • No telemetry. We do not use analytics, third-party crash reporting, advertising, or any tracking SDK. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

This refers to data collected by VertexHub specifically. Apple, as the device manufacturer and App Store operator, may independently process technical OS diagnostics and aggregated store usage data (e.g., download statistics) under its own privacy policy — VertexHub does not receive or access this data individually.

Optional features that involve Apple's services (not us)

Some optional features, if you choose to use them, involve services operated by Apple, under Apple's own privacy policy and terms. Even in these cases, we remain without access to your data:

  • iCloud sync (CloudKit). Syncs only your skill progress (per-technique rating) between your own devices, through your private iCloud database. We cannot see it. Governed by Apple's privacy policy, and may be processed on Apple servers outside Brazil.
  • Game Center (leaderboards and achievements). Your Game Center identity and score are managed by Apple. We do not receive this data in our own systems.
  • Subscription (App Store / StoreKit). Purchases are processed by Apple. We receive from Apple only aggregated, anonymized sales reports — not personal data identifying you.

Children

Kaizen is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. Because we do not collect any data, we do not knowingly process children's data. (To confirm: if the app is classified/marketed under the App Store's Kids Category, this section and the age rating need revisiting, with additional obligations under LGPD art. 14, COPPA where applicable, and Apple's Kids Category rules.)

Because we do not process your personal data as controller in the traditional sense (we collect and store nothing on our own servers), there is, on our side, no international transfer, no sharing with third parties, and no retention beyond what's described below. In the optional features above operated by Apple, Apple acts as controller/processor under its own terms — exercise access, correction, or deletion directly in your Apple ID/iCloud account privacy settings, or with Apple.

For data you send us directly (e.g., writing to vertexhub@vertexhub.ai), we process that email and its content based on your consent to contact us and/or our legitimate interest in responding to your request, for as long as needed to resolve it, after which it is discarded. You may request access, correction, or deletion at any time at the same address.

You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority — in Brazil, the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD, anpd.gov.br); in the EU/EEA, your local GDPR supervisory authority — if you believe your rights have not been respected.

Security

Since data stays on your device, its protection relies on your device's own security (passcode, biometrics, iOS encryption) and, where applicable, your iCloud account.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app or to applicable law. The "Last updated" date above indicates the version in effect. Material changes will be communicated on the app's store listing or within the app before you use the new feature.
